What was suppose to be a playful experience for a blog has taken an interesting turn. After three submissions, I’ve been promoted to a mid-level designer on 99Designs, which I now have access to gold level contests, that’s better projects for more money. Here is one I’ve submitted to a gold contest today. This is a blind contest so I can't post a link to other submissions.
This week I entered my first competition on 99Designs, two of them actually.
As an unagency, it’s in my best interest that you hire us, ideally, because we have unbeatable prices, but we understand that some start-ups just can’t afford any costs.
So, if you are going to crowdsource your artwork through a platform like 99 Designs, here is what I have learned so far.
Our end result is a brand that I’m really proud of; however, I have to give a lot of the credit to Gina for being brilliant with helping me design a very clean brand.
The purpose of this blog isn’t just to confess my admiration for Gina, but to share G&L icons that we didn’t use as inspiration to other designers out there. Enjoy!
Don’t Google “How to write your first blog.” Why? Because the number one purpose of your blog should be to contribute something to the world. The moment you add to the clutter you are only doing yourself or your business a disservice. Doing what everyone else is doing equals being a part of the problem, don’t do that…
