Super G Logo Design

This summer I was referred to the most incredible client, Gina Larkin, who is inspiring, kind and a total badass. Her website www.ginalarkin.com will tell you about her current work as an executive leadership coach transforming individuals who are brave enough to surf & practice yoga with her in exotic paradises.

If you care to dig a little deeper, Gina’s Linkedin tells a story of her modest 10 years at Visa where she climbed the ladder to Vice-President, Global Solutions and Innovation Marketing. One not-so-small step for Gina, one giant leap for womankind.

You can imagine, as a designer, impressing a former marketing executive of one of the most valuable brands of all time is a tad terrifying. I think admitting fear means you’re on the right path to innovation, right? Normally, I would push my clients past their comfort zone aiming to create a brand that will last longer for them, as an individual or a business. In this case,  I think I was the one getting pushed out of my old ways, which was pretty cool for a change.

Our end result is a brand that I’m really proud of; however, I have to give a lot of the credit to Gina for being brilliant with helping me design a very clean brand.

The purpose of this blog isn’t just to confess my admiration for Gina but to share G&L icons that we didn’t use as inspiration to other designers out there. Enjoy!
